Description
100nF polyester film capacitors use polyester film as the dielectric, wound into a cylindrical or flat body and sealed in epoxy. They are also sold as Mylar capacitors, and because the film is polyethylene terephthalate, you will see them listed as PET capacitors as well. The Xuansn 2A104J is a radial-leaded part rated 100 V with a ±5% tolerance.
Structure of the 100nF Polyester Film Capacitor
The element is inductively wound, with polyester film as the dielectric, aluminum foil as the electrode, and copper-clad steel leads welded to the foils. The finished body is coated in epoxy resin.
